can I want to show you how to cut an
0:09
avocado correctly everybody's always
0:10
talking about avocado hand well there's
0:13
no avvocato hand around here so the
0:16
first thing you're gonna do take your
0:17
knife right and you want to run along
0:21
this edge here like this go around okay
0:28
and take your hand angle ease and now
0:32
you have two halves now the next thing
0:35
you're gonna do is you're gonna scoop
0:42
out the avocado if anybody tells you to
0:45
peel it and then scoop it this is how
0:47
you get injured you don't do that you go
0:50
like this and you take it out like that
0:56
okay get this one all out now what do
1:08
you do with this don't throw it away
1:10
hold it aside and you take this here's
1:16
your knife watch carefully
1:18
see it's embedded in there and you take
1:21
that and you twist very simply there's
1:25
the pit and you take our friend over
1:28
here you grab this off like that simple
1:32
no hurting and of course you throw it in
1:35
the trash unless you want to unless you
1:40
want to keep it for a tree or something
1:44
which would be nice we need more
1:45
avocados so here we go and put it in
1:50
here now we got all the avocado in there
2:00
little finger action nerve I don't need
2:04
the knife anymore
2:22
you have a very cool little tool notice
2:26
this so you go like this and you take
2:30
the two sides and you push them together
2:33
and now you have a potato masher and the
2:36
potato masher is the ideal tool to use
2:41
for mashing avocado so you want to add
2:46
your onion tomato and your cilantro okay
3:01
then we're going to mash it
3:11
now that you've done that I have another
3:15
tool this is a castle like mortar and
3:21
pestle and which one is the pestle is
3:23
the pestle of the vessel if you've ever
3:25
seen Danny Caine movie wonderful movie
3:28
it's really funny
3:29
all right we're gonna dispense with this
3:32
guy and we're gonna put this over here
3:38
no the important thing is to try to
3:40
crush the food against the side of the
3:43
bowl which is mimicking kind of a
3:48
Mexican moving head tape which is
3:50
actually made out of volcanic rock and I
3:54
don't have one of those
3:56
I want one somebody wanna buy me one
3:58
really happy really nicely mashed now I
4:13
want you to notice something that did
4:15
not go in this we did not put any garlic
4:19
in here we did not put any tomato or
4:23
other lettuce and we did not put any
4:27
lemon and we did not put any god forbid
4:32
green peas okay so yeah we're gonna
4:38
season it I like to season mine with da
4:45
da da
4:46
Boswell's season salt you can find a
4:49
recipe for the boswell season salt on
4:51
the good plate make your own we're gonna
4:54
take a little of this and put some here
5:02
wait and we're gonna make it a little
5:07
extra hot
5:08
I like the oh you could check Oh hot
5:14
sauce this is from Mexico and it's
5:17
really hot so you only need a little
5:19
tiny bit or two drops and that's it now
5:37
I would be absolutely horrified if y'all
5:45
tried to serve this in this bowl I mean
5:47
this is just terrible
5:48
I have a nice little Bowl that I bought
5:54
and put the wacom only in there
6:10
you should get every little tiny bit
6:17
and there you go if you need to hold
6:24
this wakka moly for later for some
6:30
reason or another don't try to put lemon
6:34
juice in it the water on it or anything
6:38
like that the one thing that is your
6:40
enemy is oxygen so you want to keep the
6:44
oxygen out and I know that we don't like
6:47
plastic anymore except for this okay
6:49
put it directly on
6:54
